Included on a tape of forthcoming Lutto Lento productions (sent as an apology for a tardy Bandcamp order seven years ago), “Stuck” never found release due to its existence as something of a provocation.

Setting what some deemed to be controversial samples detailing a historical event over a disintegrating, smoldering black box remembrance of a boom bap beat, “Stuck” sounds as relevant and conceptually thrilling now as it did then.

Upon learning of “Stuck”s orphaned status, Peak Oil decided to honor its temporal nature via a physical-only, no digital release in the form of a lathe-cut 7”.

To further elucidate its precious nature, the packaging has been executed as a numbered art edition in the studio of David Kennedy Cutler.

A Brooklyn artist dealing with manipulated sculptural work transcending 2D and 3D forms and often infused with his own body, here he’s provided individually embellished inkjet transfer gatefold archival sleeves that only reveal their tactile splendor when experienced in reality. Oh, no two are alike.

It is fittingly cyclic that these are initially offered on Bandcamp, where the initial purchase that prompted this project began.
